Tracksy Web Stats A Knitter's Wonderland: Toe-ectomy

A Knitter's Wonderland

(To the tune of Winter Wonderland) Needles click, how they glisten, cozy sound, as you listen, they’re stuck everywhere, sit down if you dare, welcome to my knitter’s wonderland. Yarn abounds to overflowing, countless books increase my knowing. I need every bit; I care not a whit if there’s no pathway through my wonderland! In an evening I can make a mitten, start a shawl, a sweater, or a hat. But the question to ask any kitten, is “Do you think she’ll really finish that?”

Toe-ectomy

And the fuzzy feet are done! We did have to do a toe-ectomy. When I calculated the length of the instep I obviously did not do it correctly (but at least I was consistant, I did it to both slippers). Both sides were a about 3" too long. But after snipping off the unneeded toes and sewing them shut, I give you FUZZY FEET FINISHED!

For some reason I had a hard time getting a good picture of them. Here they are on the hoof. Jim really likes them (square toes and all).

Don't you think the square toes are just too cute! They will take a couple of days to dry and then I'll put the puff paint on the soles. And everytime the temperature drops below, say 50 degrees, I'll suggest maybe someone needs to wear his fuzzy feet so his feet won't get cold.

And the toe-ecs. Sugar will get two more toys out of this. I had put one on her head to see if she needed a hat but she wasn't as keen on the hat thing as I was on her wearing it. So toys it is.

Med Update - dr cut me back to 1/1 steroids today. Only real change I've noticed is I get so tired I just kind of crash. And not a blood sugar thing either (I know this because I now eat about every hour whether I need to or not to try to regain some energy). He is still shooting for Monday to have me on Prednesone. I have extreme weakness in my legs but not enough to keep from listing a house in Blanchard USA today.

Hope everyone had a Wonderful Wednesday!

I love the stylin' fuzzy feet! And the pink toes will make great toys for YI. : )

I'm glad you're doing so well. Take it easy and rest up as much as you can.

You're in my prayers always...

Your Pal,

Shelly

The square toes are darling!! Especially since the former toes will become toys for precious Sugar. Maybe you could fill one or both with catnip??
