A Knitter's Wonderland

(To the tune of Winter Wonderland) Needles click, how they glisten, cozy sound, as you listen, they’re stuck everywhere, sit down if you dare, welcome to my knitter’s wonderland. Yarn abounds to overflowing, countless books increase my knowing. I need every bit; I care not a whit if there’s no pathway through my wonderland! In an evening I can make a mitten, start a shawl, a sweater, or a hat. But the question to ask any kitten, is “Do you think she’ll really finish that?”

What Is This?

Your #1 Match: ENTJ

The Executive
You are a natural leader - with confidence and strength that inspires others.Driven to succeed, you are always looking for ways to gain, power, knowledge, and expertise.Sometimes you aren't the most considerate person, especially to those who are a bit slow. You are not easily intimidated - and you have a commanding, awe-inspiring presence.
You would make a great CEO, entrepreneur, or consultant.

I found this on Cathy's blog tonight! I'm not sure what the initials at the top mean but I did thisTHREE times and got the same answer every time. Not sure what to make of this. Anyway, those of you out there reading this, take the challenge and post it. I'd really be interested in what other personality types are.
And had a most fun visit this afternoon with one of my knitting friend's, Terri M. She brought a bunch of yarn she found on sale at Wal-Mart (in the fabric dept) for a $1 a ball. Really pretty stuff to make scarves and hats.
And I tried to work with the yarn the Harn Homestead people gifted me with for teaching the knitting class. The yarn is called Featherwisp and is from Yarn Bee. It's 100% nylon eyelash and slick as a can be. Couldn't use it on my metal needles at all - way too slick. So made a trip to Hobby Lobby (yea - out of the house) and found really cheap wooden needles to see if they would work.
Yes, they did but they were too small! I bought the size 10's thinking I'd make a multi-directional scarf. Big mistake! I needed at least the 15's and forget the multidirectional. This yarn is really hard to work with, sticks to itself and does not play well with others. So tomorrow will send Jim back to pick up the 15's and just make a plain garter stitch scarf out of the first ball to see what happens.
As for the hair situation - NO ONE IS TO CUT OFF THEIR HAIR TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR ME!!!! If you want to shave your head, fine. But don't do it on my account. Bald women are unattactive - you'll have to wear a wig. And I for one will absolutely NOT be seen in public bald. Support breast cancer research by joining the walk, give money, buy products that give part of the proceeds away. Support me by just being there (or buy me yarn or knitting books - LOL) But please, no shaved heads!
You guys are the greatest! And I really appreciate you all! Today was better (well, I went to Hobby Lobby!) Tomorrow will be better than today.
And if you can tell me what this personality test is all about, I'd appreciate it!

It's the Myers-Briggs personality test, there are sixteen possible answers, and the answers are made up of four letters:

I or E: introvert or extrovert
S or N: sensing or intuition
T or F: thinking or feeling
P or J: judging or percieving

There's more info here, from the people who designed the test.

I always come out as this:

The Duty Fulfiller

You are responsible, reliable, and hardworking - you get the job done.
You prefer productive hobbies, like woodworking or knitting.
Quiet and serious, you are well prepared for whatever life hands you.
Conservative and down-to-earth, you hardly ever do anything crazy.

You would make a great business executive, accountant, or lawyer.
------------------

This is the first time a personality test has pegged me as a knitter though! And I was thinking of taking a wood turning class this year too!

I can hardly take the test anymore because I had to take it so many times in the discernment process for ordination.

But I have mostly tested as an ENFP--extrovert, intuitive, feeler, perceiver.

I haven't looked it up in a while, but I think it means I'm a peppy cheerleader with a messy desk.

Susan, I'm so glad you had a better day! : ) Yippee for feeling better every single day.

I'm plotting about the very best way to be supportive...you'll find out soon enough. : ) And Sweetie, appearances don't mean diddly. You are loved for *who "you" are*....not how you look, or where you live, or what your job is! It is the real *YOU* that matters to all of us!

Your Pal and CCC Co-Founder,

Shelly

I took the Myers-Briggs test in 1991 and was an ENFJ, I took it today and am an ESFJ, not too much of a difference.

A creature of habit, you prefer routines and have trouble with change.
You love being in groups - whether you're helping people or working on a project.

You would make a great nurse, social worker, or teacher.
